OSP currently accepts MEDICARE, Rail Road Medicare, No Fault Auto Insurance and Workers Compensation. If you have insurance with a PPO or POS plan, you will be able to obtain coverage at OSP according to your policy’s provisions. OSP does not participate with Medicaid or any HMO.

If you have a PPO/POS plan, you will be required to meet your deductible as per your insurance policy. However due to Hippa privacy laws insurance companies will only provide you, the patient with how much of your deductible has been met for the year. OSP will courtesy bill your insurance company but expects full payment at the time of service. If you cannot make payment in full at the time of service, a payment plan can be tailor made to meet your financial needs. As OSP does not participate in most health plans with the exception of Medicare, insurance companies will reimburse you directly.

We will be happy to check/verify your insurance coverage with your insurance company and strongly advise you to do the same. It is ultimately your responsibility to understand your insurance coverage policy.

In order to verify your insurance OSP staff will need an enlarged fax copy of the front and back of your insurance card. Note that the information given by your insurance company is not a guarantee of payment. The office staff will get in touch with you once this process is complete and will assist you with any further questions and in scheduling your first appointment

Delaware is a direct access state which means that you can see a physical therapist without seeing a doctor first if you self pay. If you want your insurance to pay, you are required to obtain a script from you physician.

All MEDICARE patients need a script and are required to renew their script every 30 days. They are also required by MEDICARE to see their physician every 60 days to recertify physical therapy. MEDICARE patients must inform the therapist when they are scheduled to see their physicians for follow-up.
